Abstract

The Republic of Uganda occupies 241,038 km2, of which 81.8%is covered by land and 18.2%by water. It has an estimated population of 36 million with annual growth rate of 3.24 % (CIA 2014). Uganda is bordered by the Republic of South Sudan to the north, ▶Kenya to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and ▶Tanzania and ▶Rwanda to the South. Today, the country is a major African ▶destination that has developed since the 1950s. It is divided into four main administrative regions (central, western, eastern, and northern) with theWestern region having most of the attractions (Figure 1).
