They are authored by volunteers and have benefited from a network of scholars, anchored by Merike Blofield (GIGA) and coordinated by Asma Khalifa (GIGA)*, and provide a strategic input to the Lancet Commission on Gender-Based Violence and Maltreatment of Young People, co-chaired by Flavia Bustreo and Felicia Knaul. The Working Papers were developed as a resource for policy-makers, advocates and scholars, to explore and assess key policy responses enacted following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and to support the formulation of policy recommendations to better address GBV in the future.
